This year Orinda is celebrating July 4th differently: “Together (apart)”
Offered below are safe options which will allow us to celebrate, to remember, and to honor our essential heroes and our community.

PRE-July 4th

Now through Wednesday, July 1: Virtual Decorating Contest
  • Decorate, decorate, decorate! Break out the red, white and blue to decorate your home, mailbox, fence, tree trunk, driveway… Costumes? Yes! For you, the entire family and of course, the furry pet! There is a category for everything!  There is a special category to honor the 2020 Grand Marshalls – All Essential Workers/Heroes – with homemade signs! Who are your heroes during this time of crises and challenges? Let them know you care.
  • Submit the entry form to participate in the decorating contest then send photos to Jill@AspenConsult.net. All photo entries are included in the Photo Gallery. The form and gallery are part of this website.
Now through Saturday, July 4: Virtual Run for a Reason
  • Supporting the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood Foundation, participants may run or walk at any location then take a picture and let the organizers know your route.
  • SUDC is a category of death in children between the ages of 1 and 18 which remains unexplained. Often, a seemingly healthy child goes to sleep and never wakes up.  Click here to register
